Liedtka’s Argument about Strategic Thinking

I believe Liedtka’s argument presented in her article “Everything I Need to Know About Strategy I Learned at the National Zoo” is realistic but very rare in actuality. I agree with her argument that top management is not the only person capable of thinking strategically because I think all people possess the ability to think strategically (with image, intention and flexibility) but it takes most people the perspective of top management to really understand the intricacies of the business and act strategically. I would more than likely as a top manager not expect my employees to think strategically but I would want them to know the process of strategic thinking so that they could understand the decisions made corporately.
